Speedway motorcycle racing made its long-awaited and historic return to Western Sydney Speedway, delivering one of the most significant nights on the Australian solo calendar.

The Darcy Ward Invitational once again lived up to its reputation as a cornerstone event, with this year’s edition marking a major milestone — the first-ever Speedway Solo motorcycle event held at the venue. A strong Boxing Day crowd witnessed elite-level racing as international star Jack Holder headlined a world-class field of riders competing for a place in history.

The evening delivered fast, competitive racing from start to finish, supported by a high-quality program featuring Late Models, Lightning Sprints, and Wingless Sprints, ensuring non-stop action across all divisions.

From motorcycle practice through to the final chequered flag, the event showcased exactly why the Darcy Ward Invitational has become a must-see fixture on the speedway calendar.
